The VSoft Web-store..
The VSoft Web-store is a modified version of the very popular AspDotNetStoreFront Web-Store. VSoft is one of over 5000 web-developers using this highly featured product.
• The VSoft Web-store is not suited to those who can manage their business purely on a web-store.
• It is designed for businesses that need both a web-store and a full business system (Debtors, Creditors, Inventory, Order processing Etc.)
• It (and VSoft) does NOT suit businesses with over thirty workstations.
• The VSoft Web-store is a new product and does not yet suit infinite variations to "Look and Feel" More options will come later. The intention is to commission local web-store designers in each city/region to act as 'customisers' of the VSoft Web-store.
• Even though VSoft can be rented for just $100 per year - It is a $60,000 system and you will need local training and assistance. This support may not yet be available in your area. (It will be co-ordinated thru local Universities) If you have someone familiar with setting up such a system, it may be possible to setup VSoft without external support. (there are over 300 pages of on screen help and tutorials.)
• The WebStore software was written by college graduates and lecturers. It was written to encourage a closer partnership between colleges, graduates and small business.
Features and Functions of the VSoft Web-store..
1. Automatically synchronize a Head office/ Warehouse business system (VSoft) with a Web-Store.
Ie. Automatically imports Orders, Sales and new Customer details into the main VSoft in real time.
Automatically upload changes to VSoft data to the web-store. Eg. Availability, Price changes, Periodic Specials, New product, new images etc.
2. Provides a web-store that doesn't require staff to have extensive 'store-admin' training. And doesn't require the usual hundreds of hours of "back end" copying and pasting to setup a thousand new products on the web-store.
3. Provides web-service utilities that can automatically import the above 10,000 new products directly from the Manufacturer, and new pricing as it's released. This service can also automatically import the hourly "units available" from the supplier.
4. The main feature of this VSoft + Web-Store combination is price. Our pricing is about a third of the average $11,000 quote for acquiring a Web-Store that is synchronized with your existing Inventory system.
5. This software will be supported by dozens of franchised groups in each city or region. These groups will be supervised and supported by one College or University in that region. (The WebStore software was written by college graduates and lecturers. It was written to encourage a closer partnership between colleges, graduates and small business.)
Notes..
• VSoft has dozens of import tools with hundreds of options that allow catalogs of 100,000 products to be imported and re-priced in minutes.
• The VSoft web-store rarely needs 'back end' maintenance because it automatically follows VSoft.. VSoft is the master copy of all the Products, Short & Long Descriptions, Images, OnHands Etc.
• The exceptions that will have to be done in Store Admin are..
1. Setting the front page text and images. Eg. for "This Weeks Special"
2. Setting up an occasional new Category in the side menu of Categories. Eg. "Hardware". (Categories are manually maintained on both.)
3. Maintain a "NEWS" section Etc.
Sales & Support for the VSoft WebStore..
Apart from the GradNet (VSoft support) teams, we will need AspDotNetStore support persons in every major region.
There will be three entities involved with the installation of a WebStore..
The local VSoft support group; The local WebStore specialist; The head-office WebStore OEM.
How sales of the WebStore will be managed..
Because the WebStore is not sold without the VSoft business system, the WebStore deployment shouldn't proceed beyond fact-sheets and perhaps consultation with the local WebStore specialist until the VSoft deployment is underway.
1. The local VSoft support group would install VSoft and setup "remote" access..
If the client wants a VSoft WebStore, they would contact their local WebStore specialist who would consult and quote the client.. He would then forward details and an initial deposit to the Head-office WebStore OEM..
2. The WebStore OEM would purchase and setup the basic AspDotNetStore and provide a temp. access link.
3. The local WebStore specialist would train & assist them setup their Categories, images and Front page.. He would also import any existing data (Customers, Categories, Descriptions) He would also sub-contract the skinning of the site. He will quote and charge the client independently.
4. The WebStore OEM would then remotely install the Soap-Service and run utilities to sync the categories and test the service.. (the deposit and final payment to the WebStore OEM is made by the local WebStore specialist who budgets for these standard charges in his quote to the client.)
5. The local WebStore specialist would then test the soap functions.. He would ensure the store inventory was correct, (OnHands, Prices, Images, Descriptions Etc). and test the Auto downloads of customer orders.
6. He would also organize the transfer or init of the email addresses and all the other aspects of initiating the web-store.
7. The local VSoft support group would do the initial user training for VSoft and assist the users thru their first weeks with the web-orders.
Ongoing support for the site is provided by the local WebStore specialist.
Initially, hosting and hosting support would be provided by the OEM, but the local WebStore specialist would be expected to take over this role as their experience develops.
