VSoft Barcode Scanners..

The VSoft Business Accounting, Invoicing & Warehouse control software has been in general use for over 20 years. The Hand-held, wireless Barcode scanner sub-system has been in use for 5 years and was developed jointly by Eastcoast Custom Distributors of Brisbane Aust. and KissCouture of the Gold Coast. (both wholesale importers and distributors.)

The Main Scanner Functions..
• General Stock Price and availability inquiries. (On Hand, On Order, On Hold Etc.)
• Purchase Order Receival.
• Warehouse "Picking" Customer orders.
• Creating Customer orders - Eg. For Showroom sales.
• Stock-take.
• Stock Maintenance - Barcodes, Bin & Bulk locations.

The scanners used are all radio linked to one software module running on one workstation.
Several scanners (and several PCs) can work simultaneously and randomly on the same Receival or Picking slip. Up to eight scanners can be used simultaneously on a variety of tasks.

Several 'Picking Slips' (customer orders) can also be combined into one scanning task, and again, the operators can process lines in random order.
As a scanning task nears completion, the scanners can optionally display only those lines yet to be scanned.

The scanners have over 50 functions to assist with the main activities listed above..
A small sample..

* Zero the Qty Picked/Scanned count (on last item.)
* Subtract 1 from the previously scanned count.
* Set BIN Locn on the previously scanned item.
* Add an EAN Shop barcode to the previously scanned item
* Add a Suplyrs barcode "  "
* Load a PickSlip 
* SAVE the PickSlip 
* Abort PickSlip
* Set New PickSlip Status 
* Add Serial Num to prev.Line
* Add a Consign-Number "
* Set Delivery Instructions

The Scanner hardware is currently the CipherLab 9300 or DataLogic Memor.
The Scanner software (Win CE6) was developed by La Hong Thang.
