ReportVision
provides a single repository and a virtual archiving system to store large
amounts of all types of computer generated reports. It enables automatic
capturing, indexing, storing, retrieving, printing, faxing, importing
and email all or part of any computer-generated report. It uses magnetic
or optical media for storing. With very little storage space requirements,
ReportVision can store over 1 million report pages in 1 GB of storage
media.
ReportVision allows MIS professionals to manage automatically all kinds of outputs, from the host printing interface to the storage of the outputs. It allows the creation, distribution and printing of reports and sub-reports from original reports with great savings of time and money.
ReportVision is designed to manage heterogeneous systems, including Mainframe, Unix, AS/400, NT, NetWare, and Windows/DOS systems, output devices, and end users with very easy to use interface agents. It is 100% application and device independent, and provides software agents to control all types of outputs in the enterprise, allowing automatic captures through a native FTP connection, a serial connection simulating a virtual printer, or a drive mapping agent.
ReportVision provides a powerful search engine and a robust scheme of filters and masks. It allows the user to find a report, a page of a report, or a particular piece of data in a page of a report among millions of reports in seconds. The user can either print, fax, import into another application or email the documents found, from within the Vision2020 client interface without needing to leave or change interface or application. The user can make annotations or highlights in color to any document as it is done on paper, without modifying the original. The user can even view reports with any Web browser through the Internet, independent of the location.
ReportVision is a tier of Vision2020, a release EDM Suite built on a powerful 32 bit Windows NT Server operating platform. It relies 100% on a client/server architecture allowing any enterprise to deploy document and knowledge management for all types of electronic or computer generated data. ReportVision can be transparently integrated to other Vision2020 modules.
